I own the Iron metal version of this mouse. Both mice are identical, except for the metal color.I bought this mouse for $10 - Sold by Perixx and fulfilled by Amazon.com.PROS: * Full sized mouse (not laptop computer sized). * Overall, solidly built * Button action is smooth and perfectly responsive. Tactility is good. * Rubber coating is flawless * DPI switching works quickly and each DPI level has its own light color (500=red, 1000=blue, 1500=green, 2000=pinkish purple) * Light weight * Metal part is polished * For $10, I could not ask for moreCONS: * While highly rugged, the braided cord is super long and rather stiff - I did not deduct a point for this * While actually operating the programmable features of this mouse is flawless, the graphical user interface (GUI) of the included software is NOT - Think spelling errors, grammatical mistakes, and some things are difficult to read - Just a real annoyance * I pose a question to Perixx: Is this mouse capable of going up to 4000 DPI? - Based on software options, it looks like it should - I will test this and see if contacting Perixx yields any results.***Update***: This is the response I received from the company..."For the dpi, it is a real spec at 2000dpi. With the software setting, it may go higher but it is not 'real'. This is why we put only 2000dpi on Amazon description. For the optical resolution, 2000dpi is the highest point that it can reach." - I tried the 2000+ settings and the mouse got more sensitive. Based on their response, 2000+ is achieved, because of the software - I guess.OVERALL: A great gaming mouse for cheap, but do not expect perfection. Also, the company is definitely sketchy.

This mouse is amazing and I love it. It's cost-efficient, and is on-par with the other popular gaming mouses(for CHEAPER, even.) It looks pretty sweet, too. The buttons to change mouse sensitivity (DPI, Dots Per Inch) actually changes the color of the light from red, to blue, to green and then a purplish-pink color. You can adjust the DPI for each color and much more, including how fast the color pulses, or set it to not at all when you program it using the CD they give you. It took me a bit to get used to because of the sides that stick out, but it's really not that much of a problem.Oh, and it's worth mentioning that you can program the DPI adjustment buttons as well as the forward and back ones on the side to do various things other than that. It doesn't HAVE to do what it's intended to, which is great.

Considering how cheap it is, you'd expect the mouse to feel and act cheap -- not so. I wouldn't say it's on par with the $100+ gaming mice, but if you're a casual gamer or just really want a mouse with extra buttons (or you just happen to love Transformers), you'll love this mouse.Only con I've noticed is the spelling errors in the software... Usually that's a red flag for me as far as quality, etc, but haven't had any issues with the mouse.

This mouse feels of extreme quality. Everything from the textured mouse wheel to the rubberized plastic and iron top, creates for an excellent feeling mouse. Looks great as well. Great for playing games of course. Love it.UPDATE 3/2/14:I have since replaced this mouse because the copper top is cheaply finished. It doesn't take long for the finish to wear off and the copper to start corroding. Even after cleaning the corrosion, spots are left behind where it has faded. It's a great reliable mouse, though I would recommend the iron top one as opposed to the copper model.

Well, I was looking for a mouse to replace my pervoiys computer mouse. I only had a simple mouse, so I was looking for something I could game with, and overall, just perform better then my previous one.Overall, I am very impressed with the product I received. I've had no problems tracking on wood, paper, and my mouse pad, the buttons make a satisfying click, and the included software works, which is more then i can say of others.Pros:-Mouse has a solid feel and construction. It doesn't feel cheap, and the slightly rubberized sides and mouse buttons are a nice touch.-The included software works. I can easily change the buttons, every single one. I can change the DPI for each setting, though it seems to interval at increments of 500.the program also lets you launch a profile from starting an.exe, so you can easily have a certain configuration set up when you launch a game.Cons:-this is minor for me, but might be news for some. The lights are customizable, but.. only when you change the DPI does it change. So you can your favorite color to your favorite DPI. Unfortunately you can't change it manually though.-minor misspellings in the programs. Nothing major, but it shows a little unprofessionalism.Overall, abreast mouse and a steal for $20.

I got this mouse because you can program buttons to do what you want. The mouse is nicely built but the sides slant inward towards the bottom, this causes my fingers to get tired or cramped. Someone with smaller hands may not have that problem, I got big hands. Now for the programming part. You can record your Macro and include key strokes. The BAD thing is it runs the macro slow and misses steps. Before I got this mouse I was using Mouse X and I can tell a BIG difference on macro speed and Mouse X does NOT miss any steps in the macro. I am NOT trying to promote Mouse X, just telling the truth about the Macro feature of this mouse. The ONLY reason I am not sending it back is because it does work as a mouse just fine and I already threw my old one out. If you are a serious gamer and want a good mouse SKIP this one.
