This listing is sort of misleading in several ways but still truthful. I bought this adaptor so I could use my xbox 360 arcade stick with my PS3, and to that end this performs perfectly. No lag, easy, simple, plug and play. My friend also purchased this so he could use his PS arcade stick with his Xbox 360, and to that end this will not work for you. The device only has one female USB receiver (used to connect the wired Xbox 360 controller when using a PS2 controller.As several people have already pointed out. The PS3 controllers are wireless and cannot be used with this device, PS2 -> 360 however works perfectly fine. Xbox 360 -> PS3 is nice as well. The Xbox Home Button functions the same as the home button on PS3 controller as well.

I've had this product for a few days now and it works as advertised. Using a wired Xbox 360 controller on PS3 works perfectly with no noticeable lag or delay.There are a couple downsides in that there is no way to alter button mapping unless the game itself allows it, so you might be stuck using the 360 controller's bumpers when you rather use its triggers. The only game I've really tested it on, Modern Warfare 3, does allow proper button mapping so this hasn't been an issue for me yet. Additionally, the 360 controller's light will flash endlessly as though it's searching for a connection. This is an unfortunate annoyance but does not otherwise affect gameplay.

Not a perfect solution for frustrated Xbox 360 owners, but it'll do!

Can't stand the stock Xbox 360 controllers? Want to take that joystick you bought years ago out of mothballs? Here's your solution. The HDE controller adapter isn't the most elegant solution to Microsoft's controller lockout chip, but it works, and it will free you from the dreadful D-pad on the standard Xbox 360 joypad if you're a fan of fighters and old-school arcade games. I used the adapter with two different Playstation 2 controllers- a replica Sega Saturn pad and Namco's Tekken 5 arcade joystick- and it worked brilliantly with both of them, with no discernible lag. It also bears mentioning that the HDE adapter- at least the one I bought from an auction site- works just fine with older Xbox 360 models. Maybe earlier models had compatibility issues, but this one has no such issues.There are downsides, although likely unavoidable ones. As another reviewer mentioned, there's no apparent way to reconfigure buttons with the adapter, so you'll have to do that in the games themselves... if they offer that option. If you want to press the guide button, you'll have to do it from another controller, because you won't find an equivalent on a Playstation 2 controller and there's evidently no keystroke to replace it. Finally, you're going to get tangled up in a lot of wires due to the way the adapter uses a wired Xbox 360 controller to circumvent Microsoft's infuriating proprietary technology. It's a kludge, but it gets the job done. Why settle for the controllers Microsoft gives you when you can use your favorites instead?

Avoid if you don't have a 360 slim. Older models are not compatible.

As advertised, this product allows you to connect a PlayStation 2 or 3 controller to an xbox 360 or vice versa. What the seller neglected to say in the description was that it does not work for the original 360, only the 360 slim. I cannot vouch for its functionality with the slim or on a ps3, but as for people who own an older 360, I assure you it will not work.

Many of my friends play with the ps3 and by using this adapter I was able to stop their complaining when playing COD and other games.Although this adapter claims it will enable the wired ps3 controler to work on xbox 360, it is a lie, it only works with the ps2 controller.

Brought this out to a tournament and it was horrible. The thing has lag so you cant pull over combos. Oh yeah, it just stop working after the first month I bought it.
