Customer Reviews

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Cable for Xbox Kinect
Amazon Customer

After shopping around for 2 months, I was very pleased to come across this extension cable for my Xbox. I usually do not buy products with few reviews, but I took a chance upon the one review I read plus the fact that Amazon is very good about returns if the product does not work for the intended use. I saw many extension cables for the Xbox but none this length that I required. The first review I read said the material on the cable was a strange feel and that is correct. It does have a strange feel and is very flexible. Keep in mind the picture shows the two ferrite cores but does not show 1 self powered repeater attached to the end that connects to your Kinect cable. That means if you need to drill holes to feed the cable under the house or through walls (like I am doing), you need a bit for one side of 1" for smooth run and the other end requires at least 2". That said, the cable is excellent. I have tested it with my voice commands, xbox controller and my Harmony remote and they all work perfectly as if the Xbox was next to the t.v. This keeps my area clutter free minus one small cable from the Kinect going down through the wall.

5 out of 5 stars This did the trick for my Xbox Kinect

This did the trick! It will work for your media closet or projector. At first, I tried using three Xbox 9' extensions @ $30 each. I found out from this experience that you can only use one extension, be it 9, 15, or 30 feet. Also, I have never felt a soft rubber cable like this one; it's not cheap, just not what I expected.

5 out of 5 stars cable works and seems to be a quality product

I was able to connect my new x360 with kinect using this cable to underneath my projection screen which is about 20 feet away from the actual console and this did the job.

Read the reviews. They're right. Tried multiple times. The most I can get this thing to do is to turn on the green Kinect power light. It will then say "starting Kinect" multiple times, failing each time. It will repeat this process several times and then give up completely, followed by a red light. That's it. Clearly it has enough juice to send a signal, and power at least the LED lights on the Kinect, but that's it.Don't know who CTA is but this was the longest extension cable for Kinect so I picked it. So far, CTA sucks...Returning.Also note at fault here is Amazon's star review system. This product looks like it might actually be good if you look at the star rating alone. Clearly not the case...It's hot trash.

1 out of 5 stars Keeps disconnecting

I had high hopes but it kept dropping the signal. You could see the choppiness of the video feed and the audio never worked. In the end it was simply worthless.

5 out of 5 stars Works great

We are using this cable in a huge space to extend Kinect to a projector room, and its install on a raised floor without any issue. It's connectors are not to big and tight. Recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Nyko you are not the longest available on the market anymore ! :)

I'm so happy I found this extension for Kinect sensor version! I've been looking everywhere for extension longer than 15 ft./monoprice, nyko etc/ Now I'm enjoying the Kinect experience on my 130" screen without ever tangle to the stock cable lenght/9ft/ Nyko , edit the info of your product, it's not the longest anymore :) Thank you CTA!

3 out of 5 stars Works off and on
Robin Kolczynski

Does work eventually. I have to fidget with it to get it to connect. I receive an error message initially and usually turn everything off and back on. Some times that's all it takes, some times it takes more fidgeting. Once it decides to work and I'm in a game, it works great. I just have issues getting it going.
