Im sorry to say i was excited to get my xbox working however the Kit came incomplete..no thermal compound was included as listed!!

The kit works just fine but the repair guide leaves a lot to the imagination. I had done this repair several times before and had no problem, but if this is your first time then I would suggest using the guide provided as well as Llama's RROD fix guide found here...[...]

It Works!I bought this item because it came with everything necessary to fix the red ring of death on the Xbox360 (tools not included - you will need a T8 and T10 Torx screwdriver, a small pointy tool for some tab popping and a phillips head).Some fix kits do not come with the thermal paste (which is necessary to fix this problem) but this one DOES come with the thermal paste. The included cleaning solution in the bottle removes the old thermal paste very easily and the alcohol pads were good for the final wipe down before applying the new thermal paste. It also comes with a link to a .pdf of directions on how take apart the Xbox360 as well as installation instructions. The instructions were good enough but not extremely thorough. I YouTubed some specific steps to see how it was done a couple of times.I just finished using the fix kit and my Xbox360 works now. I played GTA5 for about 20 mins and it had no problems. I don't know about long term yet but it went from not turning on to fully functional after installation. Overall it was a pretty easy fix. I have never done anything like this before but decided to go for it and it worked. Definitely worth trying if your not afraid to to get into it and take it apart. I had fun figuring it out.
