Well, The SF4 round 2 fightpad is almost exactly the same as the round 1 model. The only change is the artwork, obviously. The buttons feel responsive with the exception of the ones on the shoulders. I feel as if the shoulder buttons don't depress enough to give me the satisfaction of pressing a button, but they do make a clicking sound so it's acceptable. The rubber grips work well I suppose, my hands don't sweat at all even if I play for hrs. I personally think that the "turbo" button is too close to the "back" button, I used to hit it accidentally while trying to press back(until I opened up the controller and removed the turbo button lol). The D-Pad still has its huge size but I don't mind at all as moves come out easier. If I had to describe how it feels, I'd say its like the D-Pad was placed on the shaft of joystick. I have 2 MAJOR gripes with these controllers. 1. The plastic MC uses on the D-Pad is too slippery(coming from a man whose hands don't sweat during play). I modified my D-Pad to my liking, some people prefer it the way it is. My 2nd gripe with the controller is that after awhile of heavy use, the D-Pad gets "mushy" and sometimes sticks in place. I opened up the controller and discovered that the mushiness was a result of the silicon membrane(the thing that makes buttons pop back up after you press em') underneath the D-Pad was actually breaking!!! I find that unacceptable since my wired 360 controller which I had for over 3 years still works fine. Maybe madcatz should sell silicon membranes for the people who spend $40 a pop just to get a new one(since the controller itself is fine, just the D-Pad membrane). So is this controller good for fighting games, YES. Would I buy another one if this one malfunctions, NO. Hope you found this helpful.

This controller is a great for those who no longer wish to deal with the inaccuracies of the xbox 360 controller at an affordable price. The D- Pad feels great, the Zangief design looks awesome, and the botton layout is intuitive. There is one caveat, however, the controller starts to hurt the thumbs after extended use.

it really does the trick... Ive actually had this pad before... after a while they have a tendency to die out on you but thats only if you game very hard everyday like I do.... I think I had one bad pad out the package and ironically I bought it straight from madcatz at Final Round 15......

It's a good fightpad, but after a while of using it the dpad stopped being as responsive, and the buttons become hyper-sensitive. It was good while it lasted though.

These pads are the only viable non-stick option for most 2D fighting games. . .MadCatz nailed the design, it looks and feels great and is perfect for tournament play if fighting sticks just aren't for you!

Broke within 5 days. D-pad stuck in left and right directions, and the switch on the back stopped locking in place. Too bad I can't get my money back...

Best controller ever made. Very easy to use and comfortable for those who play for long periods of time and the button layout reminds me of the sega Saturn pad back in the day.my only issue is the d pad. The pad wears out after a few months to the point that if you press down or down forward it will stay stuck. Other than that issue it is a good buy.

I an used to smaller directional pads, however I heard to good reviews so i had to try it. I am very gentle when i use the controller so I did not notice any damaged buttons or d pads. I wish the d pad was better though. It is hard to for the pc to distinguish my quarter circles and dragon punch (Z motion forward down corner). I have to emphasize the corner motion with my thumb in order for the pc to register the diagonal. Even when doing seth's DP I find that I usually am only able to execute 2 hits instead of 3.It is good by, this is not suitable for pad players used to smaller d pads. I suppose it is a learning curve I must adjust to. However the PS3 Fighting Commander 3 Pro like it will be a better contender. And the build quality is apparently better than this controller. Also, if something goes wrong with your round 2 fight pad, you only have a 90 day warranty.
