Battlefield 4 is incredible and will blow your mind BUT it has issues.

WARNING: At the time of writing this review people been having issues upgrading to the PlayStation 4 version of games that they bought digitally through Amazon. Sony is looking into it and it should be fixed. In case you don't know you can upgrade from the PlayStation 3 version of games to the PlayStation 4 version for only $10 for a limited time. I bought the PS3 version and then upgraded for only $10 so I can have both versions.One thing to note about doing that is your stats transfer from your PS3 character to your PS4 is a one time use thing. At that point you have the level of each character separately. So I took my PS3 character of the level 12 then when my PS4 came I did the stats transfer and now I have to use them both separately. It would've been nice if you could jump between consoles and your stats would follow you like they do in Call of Duty Ghosts.As a lover of first-person shooters and a diehard Call of Duty fan boy, I can say without reservation that Battlefield is just a better game. But I gotta say that man has Dice screwed up on the launch of Battlefield 4 in a big way. And as the real bummer here because it's such a good game when it works and I'm speaking from 30+ hours spent on the PS3 version of the game and 20+ on PS4.If you haven't you need to try Battlefield 4 because if you love military first-person shooters this one will blow your mind. And I speak as somebody who the first time I saw a tank level of building that the enemy was in I said out loud "oh wow that is awesome" and it really was. And the sound effects are another thing that is constantly make me feel like I'm on a battlefield they are something special I've never experienced in another first-person shooter.And this game has gotten a lot of bad reviews because of the launch and because of things that Dice has screwed up and some of it is definitely justified. Basically this game was rushed out the door so that it could beat Call of Duty Ghosts to store shelves. And that's why you have so many features that seem half finished or many features that are gone/missing entirely. But here is to hoping that they fix these problems and this truly amazing game can shine. the one thing that drives me nuts is when the game crashes because you lose all of your bonus XP for finishing the match.But here's the hoping that future iterations of this awesome series will forgo many of the tactical errors committed by the developers with this release. And also if you're reading this in the future sometime after the new year and hopefully they have patched this game and address the stability issues.Thanks for reading! Read more ›

Download was easy, but huge file so if you have a slow internet connection, go have dinner and a smoke thats if you smoke and you may want to drop the girlfriend off and it just might be download after all that. lolThe graphics are good at the campaign and the multi-play is not all that. Otherwise good game.

Decent experience, bugs ironed out and playable.

After a rocky start the majority of the bugs and glitches have been sorted out, definitely playable now and will keep me going until I upgrade to the PS4 edition.

Would have gotten 5 stars expect for the following issues:1) Server browser does not work 90% of the time. You must use quick join in order to join a game.2) You cannot form a party before joining a game. Good luck getting all of your friends in the same server, specially when quick join puts you into an almost full game.3) You cant edit your load-out unless you use this stupid Battlelog app or are in game.

I used to be a Call of Duty fan. I was very disappointed in COD Ghost. Battlefield has converted me and I will buy the new installment when it comes out.

I love BF4, but I hate EA's business tactics

I love this game. I feel like it's a spiritual successor to Bad Company 2. The feel of it is very team oriented, and has this sense of freedom to it. I love that you can do troll things again without it feeling too "serious" or "committed" as in the case of BF3. It's a great game, and it's engaging, and there are hundreds of hours to be played online.I hate EA. Their business tactics suck. Why would you rush DICE to release a late Beta stage of the game, and charge an additional "Season Pass" model like Activision and COD, and not really do the gamers justice by giving them a full and complete experience from the get go? I understand that deadlines need to be made, and release dates in conjunction with the competition are important, but I'm tired of footing the bill so you can get your foot in the door. I really hope EA and DICE learn their lesson and come up with a product that's fully developed, fully QA'ed, or at least 85% functional so that players can play it at release. With that being said, many of the issues have been resolved throughout the course of time, but I do not believe it should have costed me $110 for BF4 and the Season Pass.

Recommended for veterans... Everyone else not so much

I was real into Battlefield 3 & I'm still into this game, but there are some serious issues that occur frequently that makes this bundle and the game itself not worth what they are charging. The premium gets you the maps, but that is about as premium as it gets. Delayed releases, glitches, server issues - this game has them all. Some people claim to not have problems with this game, but I am not one of them. 4 or 5 matches in it will crash. That is about the only thing that is stable. Next gen systems have just as many issues as the PS3 & 360. I would wait until this game or premium are at their lowest price. Don't get me wrong, I love this game, it has so many problems though I should have waited until they were selling it for $20.
