This cheap piece of garbage was not only an unwatchable ghosty mess, the audio component had an irritating static hum. Avoid this piece of trash at all costs. Complete waste of time.

Should have bought the official Microsoft cable

I already own the official Microsoft VGA cable, and when we added two more Xbox 360s to the family over Christmas I knew I needed an extra VGA cable to my son's room. I placed the order before Christmas, so that I would have everything I needed. I tried to save money by not buying the official Microsoft cable and that was a mistake. The images are blurry... and there is definite ghosting on all of the letters. Maybe the people who are satisfied with this cable got lucky, or maybe they don't know what they are missing. There is a night and day difference between this and the official cable.

I bought this because i wanted to hook up my 360 to my computer monitor. As soon as I started up my xbox after hooking it up i noticed horrible ghosting, that made everything look blurry and ugly. Just pay the higher price for the official microsoft vga cable this may be cheaper but you get what you pay for.

More or less works as intended. Launch-model 360 with no HDMI, can put 720p on the screen in what looks like analog quality but is sufficient, but 1080p looks real bad and ins't really acceptable for gameplay, which is about what I was really expecting out of a VGA connection, so no real surprise there. Almost no 360 game renders at higher that 720p anyways, so you don't really lose out on quality of most games by leaving it there, but other things like streaming video might make more use out of being able to go 1080p in a component or HDMI connection.Separate audio plugs are effective for sound, and the included RCA to 3.5mm adapter is a really nice touch, but either way the next link in your audio connection chain will have to be within about a foot of your VGA plug, not a big deal if you are using TV speakers but I'd recommend a F-M RCA extension cable to reach your audio system if necessary.

Do not be discouraged by other reviews, this cable gets the job done quite well. Furthermore, the fact that it includes a 3.5 mm to RCA adaptor makes it a great choice for connecting using stereo speakers. For the price, this combo simply cannot be beat! While I have noticed minimal ghosting on occasion, it is hardly visible and goes away with game play or other activity.

Did not work too well for me. Severe ghosting and a blurry picture. Tried all resolutions. Returning item, will try someone else.
