I suspected this item was going to be a rip-off, but it was even worse than that. I ordered these for my old white Playseats Evo, and they came in a brown unmarked box. Both metal pieces are really small; about 5" in length on one and the other is about 7". There were no instructions what-so-ever, but after fumbling for about 5min, you'll figure out how it goes. BUT, the worst part is that to secure the two plates, it needs 4 1/4" washers that didn't come with these over-priced metal plates. While I live in suburbia southwest United States, I can see if someone live in a big city, it would be a hassle to find these washers.Be sure to take at least one of the plates with you to the store when buying the washers, because I wanted galvanized ones and they wouldn't fit, you need the plain (ugly) ones because the metal needs to flex a bit to fit these plates. You'll need a wrench to secure them as hand tightening doesn't do a good job. Also, aside using velcro and some ugly zip ties, there's no easy way to secure the Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless wheel foot pedals to the Playseats EVO foot piece.

This adapter works well with the xbox 360 racing wheel. But for two piece of metal, $15 would be reasonable. $30 is a rip-off. Oh well.

Pros:- makes the Xbox 360 driving wheel much more stable. The standard Playseat and Playseat Evolution really has no means for securing the Xbox's wheel except with velcro.Cons:- a bit pricey for two metal plates that they could have just thrown in with the Playseat.- pictures in the instruction manual are tiny. a bigger picture would make it a lot more intuitive to attach.

So I read the reviews, both good and bad... I knew I would be getting two over priced pieces of metal that may or may not have the instructions or the right hardware to properly secure my xbox 360 steering wheel to my playseat. This is what I got: Two over priced pieces of metal with both instructions AND the hardware to do the job perfectly. No need to dill any holes, make any trips to the hardware store or any other modifications. The velcro I had been using did a decent job but I was still getting a good bit of fore and aft movement. These adapter plates lock the wheel down tight. No more movement!! I knew going in that it was over priced so the fact that it does exactly what it's supposed to do and was a direct bolt on fit with all hardware included is why I give this a 5 star review. On a side note, I think this adapter plate should be included with the playseat to begin with. I also recommend you get this through amazon.

This is ridiculous! Look at the picture of the "mounting kit." See the two metal bits that are shown there? Well that's all you get for your $30. Allow me to elaborate:The plates themselves fit perfectly into the Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel. The metal flanges slide securely into the slots in the wheel where the Microsoft table clamp (the clamp that comes with the Wheel itself) latches onto the wheel. The bottoms of the plates have bolts sticking out that line up perfectly with the holes in the Playseat's steering wheel mount. So all you have to do is slide the two mounting kit plates onto your Xbox wheel and put the bolts through the holes. But wait... where are the nuts to actually attach the wheel to the seat? Turns out, there ARE NONE. For $30 all you get is some carefully bent gray metal. If you actually want to USE your Xbox wheel with this kit, you need to go to a hardware store with these stupid plates and figure out what nuts you need to buy that will thread onto the bolts to allow you to secure the wheel to the seat.To be fair, once you get the bolts and tighten it down, even the most frantic drift racing won't even budge the wheel from the plate. But honestly, if I had it to do over, I would have just used the velcro strips that come with the seat itself (they give you a ton of big, beefy velcro strips and a fistful of zip-ties) and just velcroed the s*** out of the wheel and stuck the stupid thing on there. Then I could have put my $30 in a blender or something.UPDATE: If you decide to buy this thing, go to your local hardware store and pick up 4 nuts (I used wing nuts... easier to just finger-tighten them on) that are Metric - Size M6-1.00

Pros-The kit fits perfectly and provides a firm feel. Absolutely necessary if you have the Xbox 360 wireless wheel.Cons-The nuts will come loose frequentlyThis product should have been included with the Playseats Evolution Gaming Seat as there is no practical way of mounting the Xbox 360 wireless wheel without it. The pole at the base of the wheel plate is placed exactly where the wheel would be tightened, so you would have to add some sort of spacer to make it work. Even then, it will not feel nearly as firm as when using this kit. This kit is easy to assemble, the main parts are the two plates and 4 nuts. You have to remove the bottom assembly from the wheel, attach these two plates, and then tighten the wheel to the base. Once mounted, the wheel won't budge, except for what is allowed by the rigidity of the pole (you won't notice this slight movement when you are actually playing). The instructions in the kit suggest you further secure the wheel with strips of velcro, but I don't think it's really necessary. My only complaint is that the nuts will come loose every couple of hours. One time I didn't even notice until I found one of the nuts on the floor. I'd really prefer some type of snap-on fastener.
